Mr. Parkman entered the Army in 1980 and spent 21 years in the service, including 18 years as a Green Beret serving in a variety of assignments in 7th and 10th Special Forces Groups and with the U.S. Army Special Warfare Center and School before retiring as a Sergeant Major in May of 2001. After retirement and post 9-11, he deployed overseas as a technician in support of the Afghanistan invasion and used that experience to start a defense contracting company called NEK that became one of the largest providers of technical, tactical and cyber training to the Special Operations Community and established companies in Australia and the UAE.
Mr. Parkman is currently the CEO of MainNerve, a cyber-security risk management company that provides compliance services and penetration testing to support cybersecurity Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) requirements for companies of all sizes.
