Adam Nelson is an Associate Partner in the IBM Security Services Practice and the GDPR Services Thought Leader. As the Global Data Privacy Lead for IBM Security Services, he leads a team that addresses data privacy issues from a international perspective. Adam has over 20 years of consulting experience and has been appointed a Fellow of Information Privacy from the International Association of Privacy Professionals. His assignments have provided a unique perspective regarding the issues organizations must address when undertaking any process change from a security, privacy and/or regulatory perspective. These considerations include global data protection requirements, Cloud, Privacy by Design (PbD), the Internet of Things (IoT), Social Media, Cognitive Privacy, Third Party Data Governance as well as cross border data transfer issues.
