Akiba Saeedi is Vice President, IBM Security Federal where she is responsible for all aspects of IBM's cybersecurity business in the US Federal market. Akiba has 25+ years of experience leading software and services businesses for government and commercial clients in the domains of cybersecurity, data and analytics, and collaboration. The past 10 years have specifically been focused on helping government clients across smarter city government initiatives, investigation and analysis challenges in law enforcement and defense and intelligence agencies around the world, and most recently on helping US Federal agencies address one of the most pressing national security issues of the decade — improving the cyber posture of our nation. Akiba earned her MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management in 2002. In addition, she has served on the boards of Stop the Traffik USA, a non-profit firm focused on intelligence-led prevention of modern slavery and Argosy University as an advisor to their business management program.
