Bill Doak
Security Services Business Leader, IBM
William N. Doak is the Security Services Business Leader for IBM MEA since 2014. He has been with IBM since 1998 and has worked in various capacities, namely Public Sector Leader for IBM’s Growth Markets business, Public Sector Leader for IBM Consulting Services, and Delivery Executive for shared services for the Queensland Government in Australia. Prior to these roles, Bill has held IBM Industry leadership roles in Government, Healthcare and Life Sciences for IBM Asia Pacific, providing business consulting, complex systems integration and large scale project management with supercomputing, data mining and knowledge management. Additionally, he's been involved with IBM's research expertise in computational biology and parallel computing to deliver leading edge solutions for the government, healthcare and life sciences markets. Bill has spent most of his career in the information technology and telecommunications industries working in over 16 countries. He has held various executive roles in international management, managing people and major deals including major infrastructure projects in Vietnam, Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey and Morocco.Before joining IBM, Bill owned his own telecommunications company with a staff of over 2,000 people, winning major contracts in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar.
