Craig Heilmann

Craig Heilmann is currently with IBM's Integrated Security Division, as a management consultant and senior leader in a global role. He has been in the information security domain for over 25 years, helping to protect and advise while serving in the military early in his career and again while employed in the commercial sector by large security players like Ernst & Young, Accenture and IBM. His career summary includes technical, professional, entrepreneurial and leadership experience specifically applied in areas of security testing, ethical hacking, information technology protection (IT), industrial control systems (OT), Internet of Things (IoT), unified communications (VPSTN/VOIP), Incident Response and Management, Secure Engineering, and Security Strategy and Governance. Craig is also an inventor on 12 US patents, a co-founder and executive for two high tech security start-ups, a team leader, business leader and recognized industry thought leader. He's been interviewed for various news media outlets, a co-author for several publications, and invited to speak at and serve as a panelist for leading security conferences and industry events. His current focus is to help build, grow and lead a worldwide capability around security testing, intelligence and incident management in support of IBM's larger portfolio of security products and services, while exploring applications of Cognitive Computing in the security domain.
