Dr. Jane L. Snowdon
Director of Watson Health Partnerships, IBM
Dr. Jane L. Snowdon is the Director of Watson Health Partnerships for IBM’s newly formed Watson Health business unit headquartered in Cambridge, MA. She is responsible for building a partner ecosystem that aims to transform the medical field, and improve both patient care and individual wellness by creating new solutions using Watson Health Cloud, Apple Research Kit and Apple Health Kit. Jane’s focus is U.S. Federal, State and worldwide governments. Prior to this role, Jane was Chief Innovation Officer, IBM Federal. She was responsible for defining and driving strategy and designing new solutions that address defense, civilian and healthcare client mission requirements through innovation and technology adoption. She co-chaired the Cyber Security Education and Workforce Development Working Group with NIST and the Department of Homeland Security and was a member of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) Council on Technology and Innovation. Jane serves on The Georgia Institute of Technology Advisory Board. She served on the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Advisory Board at George Mason University. Jane received her Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a M.S. degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and a B.S. degree in Industrial and Management Systems Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University. She is a Senior Member of IIE, IEEE, and a Member of ACT-IAC, AFCEA, CASE, INFORMS, NYAS, SWE, WIT and WITI.
