Matthew leads the growth and management of all facets of the IBM Security Intelligence and Operations Consulting business, primarily by using this global position and perspective to assist local geographies with thought leadership, sales leadership and delivery leadership in Security Intelligence and Operations Consulting services.
Prior to joining IBM, Matthew served as the global Vice President of Security Consulting Services for Microfocus / Hewlett Packard Enterprise. In this role, he led their global Cyber Defense consulting practice including pursuit and delivery of Security Operations Center Build, SIEM Implementation, Data & Application Security, IAM, and Applied Innovation Teams.
Formerly, Matthew served as the head of HP Enterprise Security’s Solutions Consulting group in APJ and EMEA, where he led a team of global consultants that deployed a range of Enterprise Class Security Solutions for Risk Management, Breach Response, Insider Threat Detection, Compliance Enforcement, Security Operations, Software Security Assurance, and Data Security. He joined HP in 2010 via the ArcSight acquisition where he managed the regional business for Email & Web Security vendor Messagelabs prior to their acquisition by Symantec.
Matthew has been in the IT Industry for 20+ years with over 12 years of international experience. He is a noted Security Intelligence and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Industry speaker where he has worked extensively with global manufacturers, telecom, financial, and government institutions to operationalize their Security Intelligence capabilities. He holds an M.B.A. in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
