Simon joined IBM in 2014 as a security consultant with a focus on Security Intelligence and Operations. After setting up a Security Operations Center (SOC) for a financial services company, he acted as a team lead for the Tier 1 monitoring team for 3 years. Next to managing the day-to-day monitoring activities, he was also involved in numerous projects to further improve the existing environment, in the areas of people, process, and technology. Together with SOC and SIEM consulting and service delivery experience at other customers, this provided Simon with the necessary skills and knowledge to build and run an efficient Security Operations Center.
