Tamer Aboualy

With over 20 years of experience in IT and Security, Tamer is currently responsible for leading the IBM Security Practice for MEA & Turkey and is on the Board of Advisors for NYIT. He was previously IBM Canada’s Security Services CTO, holding prior roles such as the technical lead for Canada’s crypto and security methods for financial payment systems. Tamer has various security patents for intrusion protection, cloud security and others. He is an expert speaker at security conferences like ISACA, Gartner, Forrester, GOVTECH, VISA, CLOUD, IDC, Canadian Bankers Association, and many others. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems from Ryerson University, a Masters of Science in Telecommunications and Networks from Syracuse University and a Ph.D. in Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University.
