Dr. Yaron Wolfsthal

Head of Cybersecurity Center of Excellence in Israel, IBM

Dr. Yaron Wolfsthal is the head of IBM's Cybersecurity Center of Excellence at Ben Gurion University of the Negev, where his team of researchers collaborates with BGU scientists on development of leading-edge information security technologies. Dr. Wolfsthal has extensive experience in leading multinational research teams, and in his previous role he was head of the systems research area at IBM's Research Laboratory in Haifa. Dr. Wolfsthal represents IBM in European working groups on security and other professional bodies. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, has authored over 50 scientific publications, and holds BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees in Computer Science and an MBA degree, all from the Technion - Israel's Institute of Technology.
