Mobile device usage continues to rise among workers as their companies expand the mobile capabilities they offer to employees. Today, 72% of workers use a mobile device at least weekly for work. But mobile devices are only one of several devices that employees use for work. Forty-nine percent of information workers use at least three devices for work weekly. However, not all employees use the same apps or require a tablet, and understanding the different mobility needs for each job is critical for success.
Companies must develop a mobile strategy which provides employees with flexibility to use the best device for the context of the work and consistency of experience so they can feel confident that whatever device they use will have the tools, data and security they need. This becomes even more urgent with Windows 10 around the corner.
